Hello from Lake George Dinner Theatre. Like everyone else, we have been closely monitoring the current health crisis. We regret to announce that, for the first time in 53 years, we are canceling our upcoming season. As you know, the dinner theatre was planning to bring back one of its biggest hits: the international comedy sensation “Shear Madness”. This ground-breaking play began on our stage back in 1978 and we are happy to say that we are already making plans to produce this hilarious crowd-pleaser in our 2021 season.
But first, as a small not-for-profit theater company, we have to find a way to get through these difficult times and many of you have already asked how you can help. Here’s how:
- If you have already purchased a ticket/gift certificate for the 2020 season, you may hold your ticket for our 2021’s Season production of “Shear Madness”

- Please consider making the value of your 2020 ticket purchase a tax-deductible donation to help ensure LGDT is back next season.
Whether you choose to rollover your tickets to 2021 or donate the value of your 2020 tickets as a tax-deductible donation, please email boxoffice@lakegeorgedinnertheatre.org and let us know.

It is our sincere hope that patrons and friends who have already bought early-bird tickets will consider their purchase to be a tax-deductible donation to the theatre. Of course, we will honor anyone’s request to receive a refund. However, we rely on your generosity to help us stay in business during these lean times.
In the meantime, please keep your eye on the Lake George Dinner Theatre Facebook page (and “like” us if you haven’t already). In the weeks and months to come, we will be posting messages, memories, and funny stories or songs from the vast array of artists who have worked with us over the past 53 years. And if you would like to contribute to this collection, please let us know. We’d love to add your story to ours.
We genuinely hope you and your families are safe and healthy. Lake George Dinner Theatre has been such a huge part of our lives for so long, we truly cannot imagine a summer in Lake George without it. We sincerely look forward to seeing you there next season.
